While October is most commonly recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Oct. 15 is also designated as National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.
"When a child loses his parent, they are called an orphan. When a spouse loses her or his partner, they are called a widow or widower. When parents lose their child, their isn't a word to describe them. This month recognizes the loss so many parents experience across the United States and around the world. It is also meant to inform and provide resources for parents who have lost children due to Miscarriages, ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, stillbirths, birth defects,SIDS, and other causes."
For those who have not suffered a loss of a child please support those who have. Though you may never be able to understand the amount of pain that one goes through just pray and encourage them.
And for those who have lost a child we will be praying for you and not just today but everyday. I feel that it should be lifted up in prayer everyday as a normal prayer to God.
Please remember those who have lost child the ones that you know and the ones that you may not.
