Out with the old in with the new....

Ava is getting so big and she is growing out of her old clothes and into many new ones... It is a bitter sweet time for me as a mom. This means my little girl is growing up and getting bigger and that is both happy and sad! But a fun thing is that she is getting into a few things that i really love and have wanted her to wear. It is twelve month stuff. Yes she is fitting into twelve month clothing mostly and she is eight months old. she will be nine months old on the 22nd of October. Last week i spent a whole day cleaning out her closet of things that did not fit anymore. i felt like i was taking EVERYTHING away. Well my mom helped us get a few more winter things to refill her closet. And i got to pull out other things that we have had since she was born and she was way too small to put her in. I had to take a few pictures of some of her outfits of course!

Today Ava and i went to Sam's because we were hosting a National Night Out at our Apt community. We had a great time. Ava and i go to Sam's about once a week at least if not more. It is our time together. even though we get all day together it is our outing of the week usually! We have a blast and everyone loves her. She loves the samples. She only gets the bread one. she gets the pumpkin bread everytime we go. She says MMMMM when she gets it in her hand. it is so cute.

The other night ava woke up from her sleep and was so tired she could only cry. i felt mean for taking these pictures but they are just too cute to not share!

The other day i was at walmart and i was looking at the baby stuff and they had some cute shoes and i thought because ava is walking (only inside) and i wanted her to get use to wearing tennis shoes so when she is walking out side she will have an easier time. right now she only wears them for a little bit at a time.
I had to find things with some purple on them because she seems to be drawn to purple!

This is what ava decided to do today instead of take a nap...

Here is just a cute picture of her walking before bed! i love it!!!

Show Us Your Life- Favorite baby gear

This is a great idea! Today on Kelly's corner she is hosting her weekly Show Us Your Life. This week is baby grear. We have tons of favorites and some that we think we could have done without.

Things we could not have done without...
1. Stroller/carseat combo. We did not have twins but we got the stroller combo for a gift and we found the other one in perfect barely used condition at a yard sale bleached it and were so happy that we had a back up set. it has been great for my parents to use when she stays at their house at least once a month. and my mom takes her during the day sometimes too and it is so nice not to have to switch carseats she just brings the one that we don't have. We got the second set for 40.00 and it looks just as new as the one that we got as a gift for 200.00. But it is too hard to buy two and not all of the used stuff looks that great and is only 40.00 i saw my set the other day at kid to kid (resale shop) and it was listed for 119.00 so we got a steal!
The Chicco has been the best and most sturdy! we have taken it all the way to the dominican republic and back and on countless other plane rides where they don't take great care of your things and it has not one problem! i would buy this set for sure agian! I also had a c section and the stroller was so easy to use after i had my surgery!

2.  We got the matching playyard/ bassenet for the stroller. Not so we would be matching all around. We spend a day in babies r us pulling each one down and setting them back up to see house easy it would be for me to do quickly. Just in case i ended up having a C Section and dez was not there to help me. Well i did end up having a c section and we are glad that we tried them all. It was hard the first two weeks for me to get around and this was among a few of the easy things i could do!

3. The boppy pillow is awesome! it made feedings so easy and i could not have been able to do it without that pillow. Also ava took tons of naps and did some tummy time on this and it helped her learn how to gain control of her neck. and crawl.

4.  My babycook. it is so wonderful! i love making Ava's baby food. It steams it and purees it all in one. it is awesome! the food tastes just like it will when she eats like we do. I have tasted both gerber and fresh and this taste much more like the real thing. It is so easy and i can make about 2-3 months worth of food in one day!

5. Bows, Flowers, you name it... I have to say that My husband did not care for the big bows and flowers. He doesn't understand because he is a guy and they are not suppose to like them. well he has come around and does not mind them. My thing is that i may only have one girl and i have always wanted her to wear bows and flowers and tutus and all that wonderful stuff. so i am doing it all while i have a chance! Girls don't let your husbands talk you out of something so cute. and you only have a limited time when they will not choose what they wear. take advantage of that time!!!

 6. NUK bottles... those are the best bottles i have ever used. we started with playtex but we ended up switching. NUK also can be converted to a sippy cup for the day time if they prefer. for only a few dollars for all your bottles. it is inexpensive and they are the only ones that ava would use! she does not like the other ones.

Things we would not worry about buying again:

1. Slings... ava never used hers. she just either wanted to be held or on my hip never in that sling.

2. huggies diapers... the minute she pees or anything i can smell it. i would go to change her and it was barely anything. i wasted so many diapers.  pampers are better  you can't smell anything.
3. playtex bottles... they are way to much to put together especially holding a baby in your arms. we bought some and we ended up switching.

hope everyone has a wonderful weekend...
