Show Us Your Life- Favorite baby gear

This is a great idea! Today on Kelly's corner she is hosting her weekly Show Us Your Life. This week is baby grear. We have tons of favorites and some that we think we could have done without.

Things we could not have done without...
1. Stroller/carseat combo. We did not have twins but we got the stroller combo for a gift and we found the other one in perfect barely used condition at a yard sale bleached it and were so happy that we had a back up set. it has been great for my parents to use when she stays at their house at least once a month. and my mom takes her during the day sometimes too and it is so nice not to have to switch carseats she just brings the one that we don't have. We got the second set for 40.00 and it looks just as new as the one that we got as a gift for 200.00. But it is too hard to buy two and not all of the used stuff looks that great and is only 40.00 i saw my set the other day at kid to kid (resale shop) and it was listed for 119.00 so we got a steal!
The Chicco has been the best and most sturdy! we have taken it all the way to the dominican republic and back and on countless other plane rides where they don't take great care of your things and it has not one problem! i would buy this set for sure agian! I also had a c section and the stroller was so easy to use after i had my surgery!

2.  We got the matching playyard/ bassenet for the stroller. Not so we would be matching all around. We spend a day in babies r us pulling each one down and setting them back up to see house easy it would be for me to do quickly. Just in case i ended up having a C Section and dez was not there to help me. Well i did end up having a c section and we are glad that we tried them all. It was hard the first two weeks for me to get around and this was among a few of the easy things i could do!

3. The boppy pillow is awesome! it made feedings so easy and i could not have been able to do it without that pillow. Also ava took tons of naps and did some tummy time on this and it helped her learn how to gain control of her neck. and crawl.

4.  My babycook. it is so wonderful! i love making Ava's baby food. It steams it and purees it all in one. it is awesome! the food tastes just like it will when she eats like we do. I have tasted both gerber and fresh and this taste much more like the real thing. It is so easy and i can make about 2-3 months worth of food in one day!

5. Bows, Flowers, you name it... I have to say that My husband did not care for the big bows and flowers. He doesn't understand because he is a guy and they are not suppose to like them. well he has come around and does not mind them. My thing is that i may only have one girl and i have always wanted her to wear bows and flowers and tutus and all that wonderful stuff. so i am doing it all while i have a chance! Girls don't let your husbands talk you out of something so cute. and you only have a limited time when they will not choose what they wear. take advantage of that time!!!

 6. NUK bottles... those are the best bottles i have ever used. we started with playtex but we ended up switching. NUK also can be converted to a sippy cup for the day time if they prefer. for only a few dollars for all your bottles. it is inexpensive and they are the only ones that ava would use! she does not like the other ones.

Things we would not worry about buying again:

1. Slings... ava never used hers. she just either wanted to be held or on my hip never in that sling.

2. huggies diapers... the minute she pees or anything i can smell it. i would go to change her and it was barely anything. i wasted so many diapers.  pampers are better  you can't smell anything.
3. playtex bottles... they are way to much to put together especially holding a baby in your arms. we bought some and we ended up switching.

hope everyone has a wonderful weekend...

Thank you for all of your mommy advice and reviews of certain products :) Our little girl is due to arrive in just a few months and getting feedback from mom's who have "been there" is great!
